We Start with Montessori – Pre-intermediate P10
Term: Monday 10.00-10.45
Age group: 2.5-5 years old
The most important age of a child is between 0 and 3. At the age of three the child´s
elemental human character is being formed. Until that age he digest all unconsciously
and thereafter analyzes that. The fundamental sense of this course is to enable
the child to work in a set environment that reacts on his sensitive phases, in which
he possesses the inner need to learn (the period of climbing stairs, grabbing small
objects, opening and closing doors, undoing and doing shoelaces etc.). In this environment
children can naturally develop and express their hidden secrets. Children taking
part in the course We Start With Montessori will, together with their parents, work
in a set environment and with Montessori tools. In that way not only children will
be enriched but also their parents, who will be practically introduced to the Montessori
philosophy. Parents are the most important elements and the first “teachers” of
their child, that is why they should be informed and respecting educators.
In our courses We Start With Montessori parents are only helpers to their children,
not leaders. The introductory lecture, which is obligatory to the parent that would
like to enrol their children to this course, concerns such topics and much more.
The principles of Montessori Method and course rules will be explained there. The
lecture is free.
The lecturer of the course has the function of an independent observer and respecting
helper. The course We Start With Montessori is aimed at trained parents that have
decided to enable their children to familiarize with Montessori Method in depth.
